Description
|
This program simulates and visualizes low level network protocols.
I will release this code free on behalf of the GPL.
Features:
- 3D Visualization (rotate, zoom, state coloring)
- Modeling of an arbitrary number of nodes, ports and connections
- Per node configuration of protocol features
- Creation of time based log files
- Extensible structure (implementing STP as example protocol)

to use this program you will need:
- The Python Programming Language
(Version 2.5 or later)
Debian and Ubuntu users may use
"apt-get install python2.5"
- VPython
Debian and Ubuntu users may use
"apt-get install python-visual"
- wxPython
(Version 2.8 or later)
Debian and Ubuntu users may use
"apt-get install python-wxgtk2.8"
Older Version may work, or may work not.
(though wxPython 2.4 does not)
